Iraqi Drilling Co. Completes 14 Oil Wells in January

The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) completed the drilling and rehabilitation of 14 oil wells across several Iraqi oilfields in January 2026, in line with approved operational plans to support and increase oil production. The work included four new wells and the rehabilitation of ten existing wells.

Kazem Habash Khalaf, Deputy Director General of the company, said the operations were carried out in accordance with approved technical standards, safety requirements and scheduled timelines. He added that the achievement reflects the efficiency of the company's technical and engineering staff and supports the Ministry of Oil's plans to sustain production at Iraq's oilfields.
