The head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Abuzar Shiroudi, said Sunday that no new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued and that all domestic and international flights are operating according to schedule. He added that the recent NOTAM was simply an extension of one issued three months ago.Shiroudi noted that while flights are running normally, the number of flights has decreased due to low market demand. International flights are also proceeding as planned, although two airlines had temporarily delayed their operations for several months. He specifically mentioned that Lufthansa has not yet resumed flights to Iran but is planning to do so.Regarding airfares, Shiroudi said prices have fallen well below the previously set ceiling. He denied reports of any aircraft being detained, clarifying that disputes over payment for two planes are being resolved, and no planes have been seized.Shiroudi also addressed flights for religious trips to Iraq for Arbaeen and other pilgrimages, stating that necessary oversight is in place, though ticket pricing has not yet been finalized. He reported that the total number of active and operational aircraft currently flying in Iran stands at 170. - Kayhan
