The Sonelgaz Group exported on Saturday a significant shipment of various spare parts for electricity meters to Tunisia. This move is part of the Group’s efforts to boost Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon exports, according to a Sonelgaz statement. The Group specified that these spare parts were manufactured by its industrial subsidiary, the Algerian Company for Electrical and Gas Industries (SAIEG), and noted that the manufacturing process took place at the El Eulma unit. This operation aligns with the country’s high authorities’ directives to gradually reduce dependence on hydrocarbons by diversifying economic and commercial activities and promoting national products. This export follows last week’s shipment of 433 electric vehicle charging stations, also produced at the SAIEG unit.In this context, the Group reported that its subsidiary SAIEG has signed several contracts and agreements for exporting various types of electrical equipment and spare parts to foreign markets after achieving self-sufficiency in the domestic market, the statement concludes.
