Bahrain Bourse & Tanami Sign MoU to Explore Strategic Partnership

Bahrain Bourse announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tanami, a leading private markets platform on the sidelines of Gateway Gulf 2026, setting out a framework for strategic cooperation in private markets. Under the MoU, the two parties will work to develop a digital platform to streamline access to private markets.

The partnership is designed to widen the sources of capital available to private companies and enhance liquidity for investors and shareholders. Areas of cooperation cover capital-raising, secondary liquidity, fund distribution and digital registry services, alongside new financing and investment instruments such as commercial paper and tokenized securities.

Together, the parties will work to bring issuers, asset managers, banks, brokers and investors onto the platform, building sustained activity and depth in Bahrain's private markets.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, said: "This MoU reflects Bahrain Bourse's commitment to continuously develop the Kingdom's capital market and unlock expanded opportunities in private markets. Through our partnership with Tanami, we look forward to developing a platform that delivers added value to issuers and investors while supporting the introduction of new financial instruments that contribute to enhancing market efficiency."

Faisal Aljalahma, Co-founder and CEO of Tanami, said: "Tanami was built to make private markets more efficient and transparent. Bahrain Bourse plays a central role in the development of the Kingdom's capital market, and this MoU brings our technology and private markets experience to that infrastructure, helping connect private companies in Bahrain with a broader investor base."
