Al-Rashad Gas Project Represents Significant Addition to Libya’s Energy Sector

In a letter to Mustafa Imhammad Hammad, Chairman of Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company, Walid Al-Idrisi, General Manager of Baker Hughes – Libya Branch, congratulated Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company on the inauguration and commencement of operations at the Al-Rashad gas field.

The letter, published by Sirte Oil, said this outstanding national achievement reflects an ambitious vision, effective management, and the high level of competence of the Libyan national workforce.

This strategic project, it added, represents a significant addition to Libya’s energy sector, playing a vital role in increasing gas production, supporting the stability of the electrical grid, and enhancing energy security—all of which contribute to bolstering the national economy and meeting the country’s energy needs.

The General Manager of Baker Hughes – Libya Branch, expressed his deep appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the professionals at Sirte Company—Libyan talents who have demonstrated their capability to execute critical projects and achieve qualitative milestones through their own hard work and expertise, of which we are all very proud.

The opening of the Al-Rashad field, the letter continued, serves as an exemplary model of what can be accomplished through the will, determination, and cooperation of those within the Libyan oil and gas sector. We look forward to further successes and achievements that will serve the nation and strengthen the standing of this sector, it concluded.
