Hungarian Firm Reviews Libya Desalination Plant

Libya has held talks with a Hungarian company over a proposal to build a modern water desalination plant in the country. Deputy Minister of Industry and Minerals Mustafa Al-Sammu met representatives of Hungarian company Rotry in Tripoli to review an initial study of the project and discuss its implementation.

The proposed plant would use modern, environmentally friendly technologies to increase water supplies and support the industrial sector, according to the ministry. Al-Sammu said the ministry was seeking to attract foreign investment, promote technology transfer and support strategic projects in Libya.
