Iran Completes Cleanup of Oil Spill in Hormuz

Iranian Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Hormozgan Hossein Abbasnejad revealed on Monday that the cleanup of the oil spill in the Strait of Hormuz has been completed.

"After receiving public reports of contamination in these areas, emergency measures were put in place to identify, contain, and clean up the contamination," Abbasnejad said. "With the round-the-clock efforts of operational forces and the cooperation of responsible agencies and local communities, the cleanup operation of contaminated areas has been completed and the condition of the beaches is being monitored," he added.

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi previously claimed that the oil pollution around Qeshm Island was caused by "foreign military aggression in the region." - Breaking The News
