Iran and Tajikistan have stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of bilateral cooperation in rail, road, air, port, and logistics sectors.Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh has met with Tajik Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma and Transport Minister Azim Ibrohim, according to Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.During the meeting, Sadegh pointed to an increase in international rail freight between the two countries in 2025, saying the growth demonstrated the depth of bilateral ties and the administration’s emphasis on transport diplomacy.She said the Chabahar–Zahedan railway would become operational within three months, noting that track-laying had been completed. Chabahar could help Tajikistan develop a logistics hub and gain access to international waters, she added. Sadegh also welcomed Tajik investment in Chabahar Port and Tehran’s Aprin dry port, inviting Tajik officials to visit the facility. - IRNA
