Algeria will raise its oil production by 6,000 barrels per day to reach 1.007 million barrels per day in September 2026, according to Algeria’s Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies. The increase follows a decision taken Sunday, August 2, 2026 by seven OPEC+ countries, including Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman and Russia, to raise their combined output by 188,000 barrels per day, as part of the gradual unwinding of voluntary cuts in place since April 2023.
