According to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, exports to Syria are running at 7,500 tonnes per month.

General Company for Iraqi Cement said the plant is operated in partnership with Al-Maysara Cement Company and features a fully upgraded production line equipped with advanced machinery from reputable international sources, a modern centralised control system, specialist testing laboratories, and a dedicated 30-megawatt power station.

Director General Zuhair Daoud Ahmad said the plant operates around the clock to support domestic self-sufficiency and expand cement export markets.
