Saudi Oil Production Rises in 2025

Saudi Arabia's crude oil production rose 5.6 percent to 3.46 billion barrels in 2025, while exports increased 6 percent to 2.35 billion barrels, according to the Oil and Gas Statistics 2025 report released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

In contrast, domestic crude oil consumption fell 6.7 percent to 155.4 million barrels.

Production of refined petroleum products totaled 991.5 million barrels in 2025. Gas oil/diesel production rose 6 percent to 432.2 million barrels, while gasoline production increased 1.6 percent to 242.0 million barrels. Fuel oil production reached 166.8 million barrels.

Domestic consumption of refined petroleum products totaled 868.4 million barrels. Gas oil/diesel consumption declined 3.4 percent to 216.5 million barrels, while fuel oil consumption fell 13 percent to 207.2 million barrels. Gasoline consumption reached 193.5 million barrels.

Exports of refined petroleum products exceeded 541 million barrels. Gas oil/diesel accounted for the largest share, reaching 247.3 million barrels, or 45.7 percent of the total.

Gasoline exports amounted to 110.5 million barrels, representing 20.4 percent, while fuel oil exports reached 75.7 million barrels, accounting for 14 percent.

Meanwhile, imports of refined petroleum products totaled 129.6 million barrels. Fuel oil made up the largest share at 72.9 million barrels, or 56.3 percent, followed by gasoline at 36.7 million barrels, or 28.3 percent. Gas oil/diesel imports reached 8.8 million barrels, representing 6.8 percent of the total.
