Saudi NEOM Unit Commissions Substation at Innovation City Oxagon

Enowa, the energy, water and hydrogen subsidiary of mega Saudi futuristic city NEOM, has announced that it has commissioned a new power substation at Oxagon, thus increasing the available electricity capacity at the manufacturing and innovation city to 3.15GW.

The Bulk Supply Point South substation receives high-voltage electricity and distributes it across Oxagon's power network, strengthening electricity supply for industrial facilities and tenants, stated Enowa in its LinkedIn post.

Its activation strengthens Oxagon’s power supply, increasing the reliable electricity available to industrial and tenant operations, it stated.

According to Enowa, the additional capacity is intended to support expanding industrial activity and future tenant operations at Oxagon.

The new substation is part of its efforts to expand the infrastructure needed to support industrial development and accommodate growing electricity demand, it added.
