Iran’s power sector has added 9,000 MW to its power energy grid, Minister of Energy announced on Sunday. Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Energy said an unprecedented achievement in the world, injecting more than 9,000 megawatts of electricity generation capacity into the national grid, and said, this speed in developing and increasing production capacity is a world record, which shows the technical authority and operational management of the country’s specialized forces.Aliabadi, at a meeting of the Hormozgan Crisis Management Headquarters held in Bandar Abbas, referred to the damage to the province’s infrastructure facilities and added, although parts of the distribution networks and electricity infrastructure were damaged in these attacks, operational forces, with their constant presence in the affected areas, took steps to repair and rebuild the facilities in the shortest possible time, so that the service delivery process can continue without interruption.Appreciating the round-the-clock efforts of the managers and employees of the water and electricity industry in Hormozgan province, he added: “In war conditions, maintaining the stability of services and meeting the vital needs of the people was the red line and unchangeable priority of the Ministry of Energy, which was achieved by utilizing all capacities.” - Kayhan
