Iran Launches Instant Fuel Card Issuance Project

The instant issuance of smart fuel cards was launched to cut national costs, strengthen fuel supply security and save time and money for applicants.

The project became operational on Monday, the 20th of Bahman, in the presence of Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co.

Under the plan, smart fuel cards are issued instantly through a fully electronic process, with applicants registering online at fcs.niopdc.ir without the need for in-person visits. The system reduces travel and follow-up requirements that were part of the previous card issuance process.

The instant fuel card issuance project introduces a faster service model aimed at lowering national costs, ensuring stable fuel supply security, saving applicants time and expenses, and preventing potential misuse through the generation of a unique random code for each card.

Key features of the project include the use of domestic expertise with the support of local specialists, a simplified and user-friendly process, and high-quality laser engraving of information on the back of the cards. - Shana
