A meeting has been held to review the conversion of brick factories to gas operation and to assess their production capacities in line with domestic market demand. The discussions covered environmental compliance and adherence to standards aimed at reducing pollution, as well as the challenges and obstacles facing factories that have already converted to gas and those still in the process of conversion. During the meeting, Minister of Industry and Minerals Khalid Battal al-Najm emphasised the importance of switching to gas as a strategic step to strengthen national industrial output and protect the environment. He directed the General Directorate for Industrial Development to prepare a detailed inventory of factories that have converted to gas systems, giving priority to facilities with high production capacity, for submission to the Ministerial Council for the Economy. He also instructed that identified problems and constraints be referred to the Industrial Coordination Council to examine and propose practical solutions to support the sustainability and efficiency of production.
