Four MoUs Signed to Optimize Energy Consumption at Iran's Petchem Sector

The National Petrochemical Industries Company signed four memorandums of understanding aimed at optimizing energy consumption nationwide.

The signing ceremony was held Sunday with the participation of NPC Managing Director Hassan Abbaszadeh. The agreements focus on managing consumption and preventing waste of national resources.

The MoUs were signed separately between Abbaszadeh and Gholamreza Zamani, president of the National University of Skills; Mostafa Azarkish, deputy minister for secondary education at the Education Ministry; Matin Didari, CEO of Zagros Petrochemical; and a representative of the CEO of Pardis Petrochemical.

At the ceremony, Ali Rabbani, NPC’s director of energy consumption optimization, said the company has set a target to cut gas consumption in the petrochemical sector by 260 million cubic meters. He stressed that the goal is not to reduce public welfare, but to prevent energy waste and promote proper and efficient use of energy. - Shana
