Iran Launches 3rd Dehydration Unit at Rag Sefid-1

The managing director of Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company said the third dehydration and compression unit at the Rag Sefid-1 operational facilities has come online as part of the Oil Ministry’s and the 14th government’s broader policy to recover associated gas and reduce flaring.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company, Mohsen Dehbanpour said commissioning the third dehydration unit at Rag Sefid-1 has increased Aghajari’s associated gas recovery capacity by more than 40 million standard cubic feet per day, bringing the total to 125 million standard cubic feet per day.

He said the project, funded by the Persian Gulf Holding, will not only prevent the burning of significant volumes of gas and reduce environmental pollution, but also meaningfully cut energy waste. It will play an important role in supplying the country’s energy needs and improving fuel balance, especially during the cold season. - Shana
