Harouge Oil Operations Co. Brings well B-119 in Libya’s Amal Field Online

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported today that Haruoge Oil Operations Company successfully brought well B-119 in the Amal field online, achieving a production capacity of 1,100 barrels per day.

The NOC said this comes within strategic plan to increase production rates.

The NOC explained that the well was brought online after drilling to a depth of 10,250 feet over 45 days. The formations exhibited low permeability, necessitating hydraulic fracturing. Technical teams then connected the well to the production line, installing the gas and oil pipelines. The well is operating using artificial lift technology to ensure sustainable production.
