Azerbaijan & Iraq Aagree FM Radio Frequencies

A meeting was held between Azerbaijan and Iraq during the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25) in Baku to coordinate FM radio broadcasting stations between the two countries.

The Azerbaijani side was represented by officials from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Information and Communication Technologies Agency and the State Administration of Radio Frequencies.

The discussions were held within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed in Baghdad in 2023. The two sides agreed on frequencies and related technical parameters for existing and planned FM broadcasting stations, and signed a protocol to formalise the arrangements.

Both parties agreed to continue cooperation on the issues discussed.
