Iraq's Kurdistan Region Announces Spending on Water Infrastructure


The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has said major progress has been made in modernising the Region's water infrastructure.

Nine dams have been completed at a total cost of about IQD 266 billion (US$203 million), providing a combined storage capacity of around 253 million cubic metres of water.

The KRG has also completed 23 ponds, with construction underway on an additional 58.
