Goods Handled at Iran’s Ports in Spring 2025 Announced


Iran’s ports managed by the Ports and Maritime Organization handled a total of 53 million tons of goods during the first quarter of the year 1404 in the Iranian calendar (spring 2025). The volume of container operations during this period reached 750,000 TEU.

According to a Sunday report by the Ports and Maritime Organization, the combined loading and unloading of oil and non-oil products amounted to 53 million tons. Of this, non-oil goods accounted for 34 million tons, while oil products made up the remaining 19 million tons.

During this period, total unloading of oil and non-oil goods stood at 16.7 million tons. Specifically, 13.3 million tons were non-oil goods, and 3.4 million tons were oil products.

Total loading of oil and non-oil goods reached 36 million tons, comprising 20.8 million tons of non-oil goods and 15.2 million tons of oil products.

The report also noted that container handling operations in the first quarter of 1404 totaled 750,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). - Iran News
