Oil Production Increases at Iraq's Nasiriyah & Saba Fields

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has announced that crude oil production at the Nasiriyah and Saba [Subba] fields has been raised to a combined total of 100,000 barrels per day (bpd), as part of the first phase of a broader integrated development plan.

Saeed Zghair Shallagha, Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company (DQOC), said that this increase is the result of an intensive three-month effort led by national engineering and technical teams. Production at the Nasiriyah field rose from 52,000 bpd to 70,000 bpd following the successful integration of seven newly drilled wells.

At the Saba field, output surged from 8,500 bpd to 30,000 bpd in a short time span, showcasing the high performance and efficiency of the local workforce.
