Iraq, Nokia Explore Partnership on Digital Transformation & 5G

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met on Monday with Ms. Anu Saarela, Ambassador of Finland to Iraq, and a delegation of executive directors from Nokia, the Finnish telecommunications and IT company.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in information technology and advanced digital infrastructure. The Nokia team outlined its plans to support Iraq's digital transformation strategy, including services in artificial intelligence and 5G connectivity.

Al-Sudani confirmed Iraq's commitment to continued coordination with Nokia to develop digital infrastructure across government and industry. He highlighted legislative reforms and the establishment of specialised centres aimed at supporting digital and AI tools, as well as Iraq's recent initiatives presented at the Arab Summit.
