Major Oil, Petchem Projects to Be Launched Monthly: Iran's Paknejad

Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced at a cabinet meeting Sunday that one major oil or petrochemical project will begin operations each month from late May through the end of the year (March 2026). Speaking at the meeting chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian, Paknejad said the projects will be inaugurated monthly as part of the government’s development plan.

During the session, several executive matters were discussed, including a report from the culture minister on the successful Tehran International Book Fair and a briefing by the communications minister on his recent trip to China. Additionally, the cabinet approved several executive bylaws related to the Seventh Development Plan (March 2024-29). - Shana
