As part of the government's national program, Iraq's Ministry of Oil has announced the opening of four new liquefied gas (LPG) fueling stations along the international highway connecting Baghdad to the southern provinces.The initiative is led by the General Company for Gas Filling and Services, aiming to expand gas-powered vehicle infrastructure across the country.According to General Manager Eng. Anmar Ali Hussein, the new fueling stations are located in Muthanna province at: - Al-Naqaf Tunnel Station (southern entrance of Samawah) - Marj Al-Bahrain Station (entrance of Al-Warka district) - Dalat Al-Khair Station (Rumaitha city) - Najmat Al-Ghanem Station (on the international highway opposite Samawah's northern entrance)The project, which has seen significant success, is receiving strong backing from Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, with continuous oversight from Deputy Minister for Gas Affairs, Dr. Izzat Saber Ismail. The initiative is expected to offer economic and environmental benefits, making gas a viable and affordable alternative fuel for Iraqi motorists.
