Iraqi PM Launches New Housing Project

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani inaugurated the construction of 10,000 serviced residential plots in Nahrawan, Baghdad, as part of the government's broader housing initiative. The 2,500-donum project aims to provide integrated infrastructure, including water, electricity, roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.

Al-Sudani emphasized the government's strategy of expanding towards urban outskirts to alleviate the housing crisis, citing developments such as Al-Fursan City for Ministry of Defence personnel and the 100,000-unit Al-Ward City project [Ali Al-Wardi Residential City], alongside Bismayah and other new housing schemes.

Key remarks from the Prime Minister:

 - Housing remains a top priority, with new projects aimed at resolving the crisis and offering diverse options based on citizens' income levels.
 - The 500,000-unit housing target is progressing, despite bureaucratic delays.
 - The real estate development model will be further applied to accelerate housing delivery nationwide.

Al-Sudani reaffirmed the government's commitment to executing its agenda efficiently and transparently.
