Iranian experts at a knowledge-based company have managed to indigenize advanced analysis devices, taking a big step towards industrial self-sufficiency and reducing dependence on foreign equipment imports. “Our company operates in the field of manufacturing analysis devices and is a manufacturer of devices that are needed by the metal, oil and petrochemical, and food industries,” Mehdi Sadidian, the sales manager of the knowledge-based firm, told ANA.He explained that in the field of metals, they have produced a metal elemental analysis device (quantometer) and have registered about 110 sales resumes for it so far, adding, “This device is used for the steel, casting, smelting, and metallurgy industries.”“In addition to steel, we have also designed devices for non-ferrous metals, including aluminum and copper that have been successfully used in these industries,” Sadidian said. Relevant reports in February also said that a knowledge-based company in Iran was using advanced laboratory equipment and efficient analysis methods to decrease environmental pollutants.“In this technology and research company, by identifying environmental pollutants with the help of advanced laboratory equipment, we have provided the basis for reducing the amount of pollution and contaminants in water, soil and air,” said Raheleh Qobad Savadkouhi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.“This knowledge-based laboratory conducts precise analyses on wastewater and sewage, sludge, particles emitted from the chimney, exhaust gas from the chimney, environmental noise and analysis related to water and soil,” she added.Noting that specialized research and analysis work is carried out on water and sewage, wastewater, soil, sludge, environmental air and in three experimental groups of physicochemical, microbiology, and toxicology, Qobad Savadkouhi said that these services include tests like measuring heavy metals, toxins, and petroleum and aromatic hydrocarbons.“In order to treat wastewater from treatment plants, different catalysts have been evaluated in this regard, and the groundwork has been laid for improving the efficiency of this part of the treatment plants,” she stated. - Kayhan
