Moreover, the two sides explored the potential for cooperation between Algerian companies and Bosch across the value chain, particularly in green hydrogen. This includes the local production and manufacturing of high-efficiency electrolyzers and fuel cells, and integrating these technologies with solar photovoltaic and wind energy projects. They also discussed opportunities for collaboration in engineering studies, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange.According to the statement, the meeting further addressed future joint projects, including the development of fuel cell technologies powered by solar and wind energy stations for electricity generation in remote areas, and the replacement of diesel use in southern regions with high-efficiency modern technologies. Additionally, the importance of training and building human capacity in the field of new and renewable energy was also emphasised to strengthen Algeria’s expertise and support sustainable development. In his remarks, the Secretary of State underscored the importance of leveraging German technology and expertise to advance Algeria’s energy sector, aligning with the country’s strategy for an energy transition and promoting sustainable development. He presented an overview of Algeria’s comprehensive programs for the development of energy, mining, renewable energy, and green hydrogen sectors, the source added. For his part, Markus Thiel praised Algeria’s significant potential in renewable energies, particularly in green hydrogen and solar energy, which are among the best globally. He also confirmed Bosch’s readiness to provide innovative solutions to support Algeria’s efforts in enhancing renewable energy and integrating it into the national energy mix.
