Libya’s Interior Ministry in Migration, Border Security Talks

The Ministry of Interior held a high-level meeting in Tripoli on Monday with representatives from the European Union and international organizations to discuss migration and border security.

According to the ministry, discussions focused on Libya’s national strategy to address illegal migration, enhance border security, and curb undocumented migration. Officials also explored efforts to modernize border crossings and security measures in line with international standards.

The meeting further addressed the regulation of foreign labour and ways to enhance international cooperation to develop long-term solutions.

The head of Libya’s technical committee emphasized the importance of directing international support towards migration management in accordance with national policies set by the High Committee for Migration and Border Security, chaired by the acting Minister of Interior.
