The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) held a strategic meeting in Dubai with major international feeder ship companies as part of its efforts to enhance connectivity between Saudi and global ports and bolster the competitiveness of the kingdom's ports on the regional and international fronts.The meeting also focused on the developments at Saudi ports, including the development of infrastructure and handling equipment in container terminals. It highlighted the latest technologies being implemented in the ports and ongoing capacity enhancements to ensure that ports can deliver highly efficient operational services, said a statement from Mawani.Senior officials emphasized the significance of exploring opportunities for collaboration, enhancing strategic partnerships with such companies, and formulating joint action plans to improve the connectivity of Saudi ports, enhance logistics services and facilitate trade, it stated.This endeavour is part of a broader effort to support the national economy and strengthen the Kingdom's standing as a global logistics hub, which is in line with Vision 2030, it added.
