UK Business Delegation in Benghazi to Boost Economic Ties

A business delegation from the Libyan British Business Council (LBBC) arrived in Benghazi on Tuesday for a three-day business tour to the second-largest city in Libya.

The delegation, led by Peter Millett, Chairman of the LBBC, will include British companies from key sectors such as energy, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and banking.

This visit marks the LBBC's second to Benghazi and its fourth to Libya in the last two years, reflecting the ongoing commitment of UK businesses to support Libya’s economic development and strengthen ties with Libya’s private sector.

During the visit, the delegation will engage with key Libyan institutions, private sector leaders, and government organisations.

“Our companies are keen to build on these relationships and contribute to the reconstruction and development of the country and to bring benefits to the Libyan people," said Peter Millett.

With support from Benghazi’s business community, the UK delegation aims to strengthen trade links and contribute to Libya’s economic resurgence.
