Iraq to Complete 1st Phase of Grand Faw Port in 2025

Iraq's Ministry of Transport has announced that the first phase of the Grand Faw Port will be completed by next year.

The project is part of the broader Development Road initiative, with progress continuing steadily. The designs for the railway line and soil surveys for the Development Road have reached 100% completion, and the road construction is 84% finished.

The first phase of the port includes five berths, which are nearly complete. Significant progress has also been made on the connecting roads and bridges, with completion rates of 98% and 96% for the two main bridges.

The next step involves finalizing designs and opening the project for bids from leading global companies.
