Iraq's Supreme Committee for Artificial Intelligence (AI) held its first meeting on Wednesday, during which the Iraqi National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence was reviewed.The meeting, led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, reviewed key projects and applications supported by the government, including AI integration into education and smart applications across various ministries.Al-Sudani highlighted Iraq's early adoption of AI in academia and emphasized the importance of learning from global advancements in cybersecurity and ethical AI regulation.The strategy also aims to diversify Iraq's economy beyond oil by using AI and protecting youth from exploitation by criminal and extremist groups through national training programs and AI clubs.
