The Iraqi Oil Pipelines Company has rehabilitated the six-inch fuel oil pipeline extending from the "June 1" depot to the Kirkuk Cement Plant in Lilan, southeast of Kirkuk.According to a statement from the Ministry of Oil, the pipeline, inactive for over three years, is now fully operational.Ali Abdul Kareem Al-Moussawi, the General Manager of the Oil Pipelines Company, stated that the technical and engineering teams completed the maintenance and rehabilitation of the pipeline, allowing it to transport fuel oil to the Kirkuk Cement Plant at a rate of 22 cubic meters per hour. This pipeline will ensure a steady supply of fuel oil from the June 1 depot to the plant, boosting its productivity and ensuring a consistent supply of cement to Kirkuk and other provinces.The maintenance work included repairing damaged sections along the pipeline's route, maintaining pumping and receiving systems, and calibrating meters. Al-Moussawi emphasized the company's commitment to developing pipeline networks, enhancing pumping and receiving mechanisms, and increasing storage capacities, in line with directives from the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and the Minister of Oil, as well as the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, to secure fuel for vital facilities and power generation stations.
