Janabiyah Road Project in Bahrain Almost Complete

Bahrain's Ministry of Works has announced that steady progress is being made on the Janabiyah Road Development Project with over 90% of the work already completed.

The project is part of the third phase of the Salman City access points development programme and the surrounding road network upgrade, reported BNA.

The project will expand the road to three lanes in each direction over approximately 4 kilometres and improve intersections to accommodate 10,500 vehicles per hour, said Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammad Al Khalifa, the Works Ministry Undersecretary, after an inspection tour of the project site.

He emphasised the ministry's commitment to expediting work to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe.

The project also involves relocation and protection of utilities along the road, reconstruction of its infrastructure, installation of rainwater drainage network as well as setting up service roads and parking spaces along with other beautification works
