Drinking Water Supplied to Iranian Villages

The managing director of Iran’s Water and Wastewater Company announced that drinking water was supplied to 10,000 villages throughout the country over the past four years. Hashem Amini also announced that 11 water desalination units were put into operation in the country during the current government’s incumbency.

The official has said that 81% of the equipment and items used in the water industry are made inside the country. Amini said, “Once, even the valves needed by the industry were supplied from abroad, but now, with the efforts of experts, 80% of the requirements are manufactured by domestic producers.” - Tehran Times
