KIPIC: Fire Breaks Out at Kuwaiti Refinery, Production Unaffected

A limited fire broke out in a storage area belonging to Kuwait's al-Zour refinery, but production was not affected, state-owned Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) said on Saturday.

There were no casualties and firefighters were working on containing the fire, KIPIC added in a post on X. The post quoted the official spokesperson Ali Al Ajmi, as saying, “A limited fire that broke out in one of the storage areas inside the Al Zour Refinery was fully controlled.” He added, “There were no injuries or damage to life. The refinery operations were safe in terms of production and export, and there was no impact of the fire on the workflow.”
