Libya Joins Arab Countries with National Renewable Energy Strategies

The Renewable Energy Authority has participated in the 12th Arab Energy Efficiency Day in Cairo, organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab League. This event marked Libya's first inclusion in the list of Arab countries with national renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies.

The participation follows the submission of Libya's national renewable energy strategy to the General Secretariat's Energy Department, approved by the Government of National Unity.

The strategy was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, the Renewable Energy Authority, the General Electricity Company, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to improve electrical energy efficiency and rationalize consumption for end users.
