Iran Launches Largest Lithium Battery Production Line

Iran’s Defense Ministry has launched the production lines for lithium battery packs and sealed battery packs to meet a growing demand in various industries, especially in the defense sector.

Defense Minster Brigadier General Mohammadreza Ashtiani attended the ceremony on Monday, IRNA reported.

Lithium battery packs are rechargeable batteries that use lithium ions as the active material. They are lightweight, have a high energy density, and have a wide range of applications, from small electronics to electric vehicles.

The establishment of this production line, the largest in Iran, will reduce human errors and slash energy consumption, while speeding up the production process.

Sealed industrial batteries have various applications, including energy supply and storage in the telecommunications sector, power plants, refineries, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), banking networks, and financial institutions, as well as electric transportation. - IRNA
