The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt released a report on Thursday regarding the growth of Egyptian exports to Libya during the first 11 months of 2023. According to the report, the value of Egyptian exports to Libya reached US$1.6 billion during this period, compared to US$1.1 billion during the same period in 2022, marking a 48% increase. On the other hand, the value of Egyptian imports from Libya decreased by 28%, amounting to US$61.7 million in the first 11 months of 2023, down from US$85.5 million during the corresponding period of 2022. Consequently, the total value of trade between Egypt and Libya rose to US$1.7 billion in the first 11 months of 2023, up from US$1.2 billion during the same period in 2022, an increase of 42%. The report also highlighted that Libyan investments in Egypt rose by 3.1% during the fiscal year 2022/2023, reaching US$19.9 million, compared to US$19.3 million in the fiscal year 2021/2022.2021/2022.
