Facilitating Transport of Goods between Turkey & Libya Discussed

Libya's Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad Al-Hawaij, met the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kanan Yilmaz, on Monday to discuss facilitating trade procedures between the two countries. The meeting was based upon the previous encounter between Al-Hawaij and his Turkish counterpart last month.

On top of their agenda were the preparations for convening the joint Supreme Economic Committee, in addition to mechanisms for reinforcing economic ties and encouraging investment partnerships between business owners and the private sector. Al-Hawaij praised the efforts of Turkish companies operating in Libya, citing their contributions to reconstruction and development projects in various regions. He specifically emphasized the importance of private sector investment in areas of shared interest.
