Iran Ready to Export Services in Oil, Gas, Petchem Sectors, Says VP at CIIE


Iran is ready to export technical and engineering services in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, said First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber in the Chinese city of Shanghai on Sunday. The VP made the announcement in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.

Iran is manufacturing equipment needed in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, power plants, and refineries, said Mokhber, adding different types of catalysts are also produced in the country. He pointed to Iran’s expertise in renovation of refining complexes, voicing the country’s readiness to render services in this field.

Iran enjoys great capacities, standing top in the world in terms of oil and gas reserves on aggregate, is the fifth-largest holder of copper deposits, and ranks seventh when it comes to diversity of minerals. Iran is located at the connection center of the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, having maritime and land borders with 15 countries with a total population of more than 600 million.

Iran is holding a pavilion at the Sixth China International Import Expo, which opened at Shanghai’s National Convention and Exhibition Center on 5 November and will run through November 10. More than 50 Iranian companies and 250 traders have participated in the event. Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang paid a visit to Iran’s pavilion. - Shana
