Algeria's CNESE President Calls for Development of AICESIS Activities


President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE), Sidi Mohammed Bouchenak Khelladi, called, during his participation in the work of the General Assembly (GA) of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), held on Wednesday in Moscow (Russia), for the development and modernization of the association's activities, said the Council in a statement on Thursday. Bouchenak Khelladi praised the work fulfilled by the Association's President, despite the circumstances and difficulties encountered so far. He also called developing and modernizing the Association's work, in accordance with its volume and current changes.

In addition to his participation in the General Assembly, Khelladi held bilateral talks with several of his counterparts, including the Presidents of the Economic and Social Councils of Greece, Mali, Curaçao and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as with the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council of the People's Republic of China, the Secretary-General of AICESIS and the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Mauritania. He also held talks with the President of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, before signing a memorandum of understanding. He then attended the Ordinary General Assembly of the Russian Civic Chamber as a guest of honor, along with the members taking part in the AICESIS, concluded the source.
