The total quantity of oil exports of the Sultanate of Oman by end of August 2023, reached to 205.012 million barrels, by calculating the average price per barrel at US$79.8. The country’s oil exports represented 80.1% of its total oil production, reaching 255.814 million barrels. The statistics data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information, showed the total production of crude oil in Oman decreased by 2.5%, reaching to 199.497 million barrels, while the total production of the condensate oil increased by 7.4%, reaching to 56.316 million barrels. The average daily production of oil reached 1.052 million barrels till end of August 2023. China has topped the oil-importing countries from the Sultanate of Oman at end of August 2023, with total exports amounting to 186.212 million barrels, followed by Japan with 7.384 million barrels, then India with 2.716 million barrels, while the oil exports of Oman to other countries reached to 6.748 million barrels. The data pointed out the total domestic production and import of natural gas amounted to 35.860 billion cubic meters till end of August 2023, up by 1.8%, compared to the same period in 2022, when the total domestic production and import of natural gas at that time was 35.242 Bcm. Statistics showed that, the industrial projects accounted for 58.5% of natural gas uses in the Sultanate of Oman till the end of August 2023, where uses for industrial projects reached 20.968 Bcm. The total use of natural gas by oil fields reached to 9.011 Bcm, the uses of natural gas by the power plants 5.704 Bcm, and 175.200 Mcm of natural gas used by industrial estates in the Sultanate of Oman till end of August 2023. The non-associated production of natural gas, including the imports, by the end of August 2023, amounted to 28.681 Bcm, while the associated production of natural gas amounted to 7.179 Bcm.
