HCS Head Hails Italy for Supporting Libya after Floods

The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, received on Monday the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini. A statement by the HCS said the two sides discussed several files, in particular the disaster and losses that befell Libya's eastern cities due to the floods.

Takala said the storm crisis was beyond the country’s capabilities, as he praised Italy's support and urged international assistance for reconstruction. The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments, besides issues of common interest, including illegal immigration.
