Saudi KSrelief’s Masam Project Clears Mines in Yemen


The Masam project’s team has dismantled 772 mines across Yemen at the end of August 2023. The work saw the disarming of 718 unexploded ordnances, 41 anti-tank mines, nine anti-personnel mines, and four explosive devices.

In Aden, the team cleared 188 unexploded ordnances and 18 anti-tank mines. It also cleared one anti-tank mine in Al-Hudaydah, 15 unexploded ordnances in Al Khawkhah, 13 anti-tank mines, and one unexploded ordnance along with two explosive devices in Hays. Additionally, it also dismantled eight unexploded devices in Al-Madaribah district in Lahij.
