Oman's Alizz Islamic Bank Names New CEO


The board of directors of Alizz Islamic Bank on Wednesday announced the appointment of Ali al Mani as the bank’s new Chief Executive Officer. Mani brings with him over 22 years of experience in the finance and banking industry, spanning both Islamic and conventional banking sectors. He possesses expertise across various domains, including corporate banking, retail banking, operations, finance, project management, and technology, according to a press statement.

As per the statement, Mani has held various leadership positions at major local banks. Prior to joining Alizz Islamic Bank, he was the deputy CEO of National Finance Company, overseeing the performance of one of the largest finance companies in Oman. Mani holds a Master’s degree in Innovation, Leadership, and Management from York University, UK. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Applications and Internet from the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Furthermore, he holds a range of specialized qualifications in banking and finance.
