Participants at the 9th National Conference of Statutory Auditors called, on Sunday in Algiers, for greater use of digitization in order to adapt to developments in the socio-economic environment.At the end of the conference, themed "Statutory auditor, a guarantor of confidence and transparency for economic recovery economic recovery," the participants called for "greater visibility for the profession of statutory auditor by adapting it to the digital transition to enable them to perform their duties effectively."According to the recommendations outlined by the Chairman of the National Council of the National Chamber of Statutory Auditors (CNCC), Mohamed El Habib Merhoum, participants at the conference highlighted the role of statutory auditors in assisting public administrations, including the Ministry of Finance in the reform of financial and public accounting and auditing standards.Participants also urged those involved in the three accounting professions (chartered accountants and statutory auditors) to join international bodies, led by the African Federation of Chartered Accountants (PAFA), the Union of Arab Chartered Accountants and Auditors, as well as the International Federation of Accountants, added Merhoum.
