Minister: QatarEnergy Transformed into One of World's Best Energy Firms

The Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi stressed that QatarEnergys unprecedented growth has transformed the company into one of the best in the energy sector. He noted that the North Field expansion projects are set to take Qatars LNG production from 77 million tons per annum to 126 million tons. "It is through our strong and resilient leadership QatarEnergy successfully made significant strides towards realizing its vision," His Excellency said.

A statement issued by QatarEnergy stated that the annual leadership forum creates an important space for the leaders of QatarEnergy, for participation and interaction between His Excellency the Managing Director, the CEO and the executive leadership team. "These great achievements, which we have celebrated and continue to celebrate, are enabling the realization of our vision to strengthen the position of QatarEnergy and the State of Qatar on the global energy map. However, this is a journey that does not come without challenges, which will certainly require us to continuously challenge our ways of working and become more innovative in how we adapt to our new business environment," His Excellency added.

The Minister of State called on the leadership team to develop an adaptive mind-set that continuously aims for superior performance and focuses on excellence. His Excellency later engaged in a dialogue session with the participants, during which he answered their questions and provided a comprehensive overview of the important developments in the energy industry and the outlook in light of those developments.
