Domestic Firms Supply 50% of Requirements of Iran's SP Refineries

The Managing Director of South Pars Gas Complex Company (SPGC) said that 50% of equipment and parts used in the South Pars refineries are supplied by domestic manufacturers, Shana reported.

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to Khorasan Razavi Science and Technology Park, Ahmad Bahoush said: “By manufacturing high-quality parts and equipment, science and technology parks are the powerful arm of the South Pars Gas Complex for sustainable gas production.”

Bahoush noted that the domestically supplied parts, equipment, and items include mechanical parts and equipment, precise tools, and workshop equipment. According to the official, currently, many knowledge-based companies located in science and technology parks are working to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry.

“These companies should identify the priorities of the South Pars gas complex with updated knowledge and take steps to manufacture equipment and items,” he stressed.

The head of the South Pars Gas Company further called on knowledge-based companies to have more planning and to pay more attention to increasing their role in realizing the goals of domestic production and completing the production value chain in the country. - Shana
